![]() DCBA 15u, 16u & 17u teams traveled to Verona & Stoughton, WI last weekend to compete against some of the best talent in Wisconsin. With 4 weeks of practice in the books and this being the first official tournament, we were happy with the overall performance of all teams. 15u went 2-2 on the weekend. This team gets better and better each game and overall put together a good tournament. Didn't perform to our capabilities in the two losses and that resulted in getting bounced in tournament play. Once we find more consistent competitiveness this team will play with anyone. Standouts: Nolan Ehlinger - 21 pts in game 3 Aiden Keleher - 20 pts in game 1 Tommy Olberding - 10+ reb in games 1-3 16u went 2-1 on the weekend. Devastating end to the weekend on Sunday as we went down in the quarterfinals to a good Team FVV. Need to be able to close out these games. Overall good weekend. These guys play great, unselfish team basketball. A lot to look forward to this season and will definitely be a team to keep your eye on as each player showcases a potential to play at the next level. Standouts: Jackson Lieurance - Avg. 17ppg Owen McCleary - 20pts in game 2 Will Richardson - 10ppg, 12 reb in game 2 Jalen Johnson - balanced attack in all 3 games. 10ppg, 8rpg 17u went 0-3 on the weekend. Though we didn't win this weekend, this team continues to figure out their way as a team. Progress has been shown but we need to be able to put a full game together to start getting into the win column. Can't compete one half and be content in the second half. That mentality resulted in some lopsided margins. We'll learn and bounce right back. Standouts: Thomas Hereau - Avg. 15ppg Connor Glasgow - 26 pts in game 3 Next opportunity comes in 2 weeks when we travel to Indianapolis for NY2LA Spring Extravaganza with 17u & 16u. Our 14u will also get a chance to compete on this stage. We'll have a roster reveal for them coming later this week! |
