Overview
DCBA travel teams provide players with structured opportunities to train, compete, and grow in competitive environments. Our teams emphasize development, preparation, and learning how to compete the right way - both individually and as a group.
While we value winning, our primary focus is growth. We measure success by improvement over the course of a season, not by trophies or records.

The High School AAU experience helps players prepare for what comes next, whether that is competing at the college level or continuing their development beyond high school, by emphasizing preparation, accountability, and exposure through meaningful competition.
Players and families interested in high school opportunities are encouraged to explore our High School AAU programs for full details.

Practice & Development
Development is built through consistency, repetition, and purposeful work. DCBA travel teams emphasize practices that challenge players while reinforcing habits that translate to game situations.
Teams typically practice once or twice per week during the season, with additional training opportunities leading into the start of competition. Practices focus on skill development, team concepts, and decision-making, while maintaining a competitive and positive environment.
Our goal is to create practices where players are coached, challenged, and encouraged to grow - both individually and as part of a team.

Competition & Travel
DCBA travel teams compete at multiple levels, including local, regional, and national events. Competition schedules are intentionally structured based on each team’s skill level and stage of development.
Teams are placed in environments where they will be appropriately challenged. Our goal is to provide players with opportunities to compete, learn, and grow against the right level of competition - not simply to play games for the sake of playing.
Competition levels and travel vary by team and season, allowing each group the best opportunity to develop and progress.

Expectations
DCBA travel teams are built for players and families who value commitment, effort, and a team-first approach. Players are expected to come to practices and games prepared to compete, be coachable, and support their teammates.
Consistency, accountability, and a positive attitude are important parts of the development process. We believe players grow most when they are willing to be challenged, learn from feedback, and take pride in their preparation.
Families play an important role in supporting a healthy team environment. We ask that families communicate respectfully and partner with coaches to help create a positive experience for all players.
