High School Girls AAU Basketball

AAU basketball focused on exposure and development.

Building the habits, discipline, and accountability required to compete at the next level.
DCBA’s High School AAU program brings together athletes from high schools across the region to compete in challenging environments, gain exposure through meaningful competition, and grow together as part of the DCBA basketball community.

Program Focus
The High School AAU season runs from March through July, aligning with the spring and summer competitive calendar. The focus is on preparing players to perform under pressure, contribute within a team setting, and continue progressing as both players and people.

Development remains the foundation of the program. Exposure is viewed as a result of consistent preparation, effort, and competing in the right environments, not a shortcut or guarantee.
Competition & Exposure
DCBA High School Girls teams compete in exposure-based events focused on strong competition, development, and visibility.
Girls teams primarily compete on:
  • Prep Hoops Circuit
  • Additional independent tournaments throughout the season
Schedules are designed to provide meaningful competition while allowing players to grow in confidence, consistency, and game understanding. Teams are placed in environments that support long-term development and competitive success.

College Preparation & Beyond
DCBA’s High School AAU program serves as a college-preparatory environment for athletes aspiring to play at the collegiate level. Through exposure-based competition, demanding practice standards, and accountability, players are supported as they work toward earning college basketball opportunities, including potential scholarship pathways.

Being part of the DCBA High School AAU community exposes athletes to a higher daily standard. Competing alongside motivated players from different schools and backgrounds challenges athletes to raise their level, expand their perspective, and grow beyond the pace of their school-season environment.

This shared experience helps players separate themselves through preparation, competitiveness, and consistency - accelerating development and creating habits that carry into high school seasons and college preparation.

Season Structure
  • Spring & Summer season: March – July
  • Teams compete in approximately 8–10 events
  • Practices typically held 1–2 times per week
  • Teams travel regionally and nationally depending on level
Schedules and travel expectations vary by team and are communicated clearly once rosters are finalized.

Who This Program Is For
The DCBA High School AAU program is designed for athletes who:
  • Are highly motivated.
  • Want to play at a higher level.
  • Value preparation, accountability, and team standards
  • Are interested in exposure opportunities earned through competition

This program is best suited for players willing to commit to the work required to grow and compete at a high level.
