Winter Season: January - February (6 Weeks)
Location: Roosevelt Middle School and other Dubuque-area facilities
Divisions: Boys & Girls, 3rd-8th Grade
Game Days: Sundays
Format: Structured league play with standings and two games per weekend
Schedules are typically posted Monday evenings prior to each weekend of play. Teams should check back regularly for updates and schedule changes.
The DCBA Winter League has become a staple of youth basketball in Dubuque, providing teams with consistent competition, meaningful development opportunities, and a place for the area's basketball community to come together each winter. Players, coaches, and families from across the region gather each weekend in a competitive, organized environment focused on growth, sportsmanship, and development.
Teams that register for the full league receive the best overall value, including a discounted rate per weekend and complimentary entry into the DCBA Winter Finale Tournament at the conclusion of the season. The full league experience allows teams to compete throughout the winter, follow league standings, build rivalries, and participate in the season-ending championship event.

Not every team can commit to all six league dates. To provide additional flexibility, the DCBA Winter League offers a Drop-In Team option.
Drop-In teams can select the specific dates they are available to play and register only for those weekends. This option works well for teams balancing tournament schedules, school commitments, or other league participation.

The Winter Finale
The Winter Finale is the culminating event of the DCBA Winter League season. Held over the final weekend of February, it gives teams one last opportunity to compete in a tournament-style environment before the season comes to a close.

Non-league school and club teams are also welcome to participate. Entry for non-league teams is $150. Last year’s event featured a strong mix of league and non-league teams and was a great way to cap the season.
